FARMVILLE, Va., Oct. 4 -- Longwood University issued the following news release:
The Longwood University men's soccer team (5-4-1) opened Atlantic Soccer Conference play with an impressive 4-1 victory over visiting NJIT (1-8-1) on Saturday afternoon. The Lancers got things started in the 17th minute of action with an unassisted goal from freshman Kevin Chico/Harrisonburg (Eastern Mennonite), his third in four games. Longwood returns to the field on Tuesday, October 7 at Navy . . .
