FARMVILLE, Va., Oct. 19 -- Longwood University issued the following news release:
The Longwood University field hockey team (7-9, 3-3 NorPac) fell to the University of the Pacific on Sunday afternoon, 3-2, in a neutral site NorPac conference match. The Lancers fought back from a 1-0 deficit in the second half, taking the lead, but were unable to keep Pacific from mounting a comeback of its own. Longwood returns to action on Wednesday, October 22, hosting Radford at the Athletics . . .
