CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 1 -- The University of Virginia issued the following news release:
The No. 10 Virginia field hockey team (10-2) downed Richmond 7-1 Wednesday at the University Hall Turf Field. The team's seven goals tied the most in a game this season. First-year Paige Selenski led the offensive effort with two goals and three assists against the Spiders.
