CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 4 -- The University of Virginia issued the following news release:
Led by career-best defensive performances from third-year Lauren Dickson and second-years Sydney Hill and Kelly Irvin, the Virginia volleyball team defeated Maryland, 3-1 (26-24, 19-25, 25-16, 25-19) in the Comcast Pavilion Saturday evening to extend its win streak to two straight over conference opponents. The win brings the Cavaliers their 500th program victory.
