NORFOLK, Va., Aug. 23 -- Norfolk State University issued the following news release:
Dennis Brown (Miami, Fla.) threw two touchdown passes to account for the only scoring as the Spartans conducted their final preseason scrimmage on Saturday night at Dick Price Stadium.
Brown (8-of-19, 129 yards) tossed an 11-yard TD pass to tight end Sherron Childress (Hampton, Va.) on the evening's first possession, capping a 70-yard drive. Defense controlled much of the midd . . .
