CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Nov. 7 -- The University of Virginia issued the following news release:
The No. 14 Virginia women's soccer team was eliminated from the ACC Tournament in penalty kicks following a 1-1 tie with Virginia Tech in a semifinal Friday night at the WakeMed Soccer Park. The Hokies won the shootout 2-1 to advance to the final.
