MARION, Ala., Sept. 9 -- East Mississippi Community College issued the following news release:
The East Mississippi Community College softball team opened the fall campaign on Saturday by splitting a doubleheader at Marion Military Institute. Under the guidance of first-year head coach Kate Neely, the Lady Lions notched a 2-0 victory in the first game, while dropping the nightcap by an 11-3 tally.
