NINEWAH PROVINCE, Iraq, March 1 -- The U.S. Army 1st Armored Division issued the following news release:
The 3rd Iraqi Army Division held a recruiting drive at the Al Kisik Military Training Base where more than 3,500 Iraqi citizens were screened and accepted as recruits in the Iraqi Army Feb. 24-28. Of the recruits, 126 were former noncommissioned officers and 81 were former officers in the Iraqi Army.
