TIKRIT, Iraq, March 18 -- The U.S. Army 1st Armored Division issued the following news release:
Iraqi and Multi-National Division - North Soldiers discovered 17 different weapons caches across northern Iraq March 16.
The weapons caches included approximately 750 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, more than 250 mortar shells, more than 200 pounds of homemade explosives, several weapons, a 500-pound Spanish bomb, Italian anti-tank mines, suicide vests, improvised explosiv . . .
