POTSDAM, N.Y., Oct. 21 -- The State University of New York at Potsdam issued the following news release:
The women's hockey team at SUNY Potsdam returns to varsity status this season for the first time in 24 years as members of the ECAC West Conference. Competing last year as a women's hockey club, the Bears finished the 2007-2008 season with an overall record of 13-5 and a conference record of 13-3 while winning the 2008 NEWCHA Conference tournament title.
