ALFRED, N.Y., Nov. 8 -- The Alfred State College athletics department issued the following news release:
The Alfred State College football team fell behind 27-0 before putting together an impressive comeback that fell just short. The Pioneers conclude the season with a 4-5 mark following a 34-27 defeat to Nassau CC. With the win the Lions finish as NFC runner-ups with a 6-4 overall mark and a 4-1 NFC.
