GREENSBORO, N.C., April 21 -- Kay Hagan, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina, issued the following news release:
State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) today challenged Senator Elizabeth Dole to cosponsor legislation introduced by Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) that would sharply expand educational benefits for veterans. Had she been in the U.S. Senate, Kay would have signed on to the bill as an original cosponsor.
