ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 31 -- The city of Ann Arbor issued the following news release:
A petanque court is being proposed for Burns Park (1300 Baldwin Ave., Ann Arbor). Petanque, or boules, is similar to bocce ball with a distinctive French twist. It is a popular recreational sport in Europe. The court is approximately 26 by 16 yards, surfaced with gravel.
