TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Oct. 16 -- The Florida Department of Health issued the following news release:

The Florida Department of Health (DOH) recognizes Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Week as October 19-25 in an effort to raise awareness about the irreversible effects of childhood lead poisoning. Lead poisoning can cause growth, developmental, learning and behavioral problems in young children. The slogan for National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, "Let's Wipe Out Lead . . .
