BALAD, Iraq, July 10 -- The U.S. Army 1st Armored Division issued the following news release:
Iraqi Special Operations Forces detained a suspected cell leader and nine other members of the Islamic State of Iraq, a front organization for al-Qaeda in Iraq, in Mosul July 9.
ISOF conducted the operation to detain the leader of this terrorist cell who is suspected of killings, kidnapping, and attacking Iraqi Security Forces.
