ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Oct. 31 -- The Office of the Anchorage Mayor issued the following news release:
As a part of an Energy-Saving Initiative announced this summer by Mayor Mark Begich, the city's Street Light Maintenance will install the first of 16,000 energy-efficient LED street lights at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 3 at the intersection of Aero and Northern Lights Boulevard.
Anchorage is the first city to implement LED city lights on such a large scale, retro . . .
