VENTURA, Calif., Oct. 30 -- The city of Ventura issued the following news release:
Between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, a City work crew will drill holes along 200 feet of the walkway at the end of Paseo de Playa to evaluate the foundation of the Beachfront Promenade. Evaluation of the foundation underneath the concrete walkway will help determine how best to restore and preserve the Promenade, which has deteriorated with constant exposure to the ocean environment . . .
