CARSON CITY, Nev., Oct. 16 -- Gov. Jim Gibbons, R-Nev., has issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS, trees are one of the most important natural resources sustained by man in an urban environment, providing an improved quality of life in our State; and
WHEREAS, the State of Nevada is dedicated to developing community forestry programs; and
WHEREAS, the Nevada Shade Tree Council raises public awareness of the values and benefits of community trees; . . .
