MONTGOMERY, Ala., Oct. 30 -- The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs issued the following news release:
Gov. Bob Riley has awarded a total of $1.2 million in Community Development Block Grants to address major safety and health hazards and improve the quality of life in west Alabama.
The town of Moundville was awarded a $400,000 grant to repair or replace damaged sewer lines in the downtown area and Hale County was awarded a $400,000 grant to improv . . .
