MACOMB, Ill., April 13 -- Western Illinois University issued the following news release:
The Western Illinois baseball team split a Summit League doubleheader with IPFW Sunday at Phil Bradley Field at Macomb High School, dropping game one 12-1 and winning game two 4-0.

Not much went right for the Leathernecks (6-19, 1-4 The Summit League) in the opener of the doubleheader. The Mastodons (7-18-1, 3-2 The Summit League) struck for a pair of runs . . .
