ATLANTA, Oct. 14 -- The Georgia Department of Transportation issued the following news release:
WHAT: The first large piece of machinery destined for Kia Motor's West Point manufacturing plant will be transported tonight and Wednesday night beginning at the Port of Savannah and traveling more than 300 miles to the new facility. The press weighs nearly 620,000 pounds and the vehicle carrying it is 8 feet wide and 255 feet long traveling at 45 mph.
