RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 1 -- The North Carolina Republican Party issued the following news release:
The North Carolina Republican Party announced today that it is filing a formal complaint with the State Ethics Commission against Senator Janet Cowell. The complaint alleges that Senator Cowell improperly used her public office for private gain in violation of Chapter 138A of the State Government Ethics Act.
