WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 -- The Health Forum issued the following news release:
Congress last night voted 376-47 in the House and 93-2 in the Senate to approve legislation requiring group health plans that offer mental health or substance abuse benefits to provide them on a par with physical health benefits. The requirement applies to plans that cover more than 50 employees. The legislation passed as a stand-alone bill (H.R. 6983) in the House and part of an energy and tax relief bill . . .
