TIKRIT, Iraq, Sept. 21 -- The U.S. Army 1st Armored Division issued the following news release:
The first of 13 local police stations opened its doors during an Iraqi Police station validation ceremony in Salah ad Din province Sept. 16.
Dozens gathered in the midst of a dust storm to mark the opening of the al Answar Police Station in the town of al Secour, part of the Tikrit police district.
