WASHINGTON, Jan. 25 -- Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas (16th CD), issued the following newsletter:
Stating that "(s)ecurity is an important component of our nation's homeland defense," but that DHS's "hastily-devised and implemented tactics" place an undue burden on border families, I urged DHS Secretary Chertoff to reconsider the planned January 31 implementation of identification rules.
