WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 -- The office of Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, issued the following news release:
The United States Senate last night passed a bipartisan bill cosponsored by Senator Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) that would protect the voting rights of American service members serving overseas.
"While brave Americans are overseas serving their country, they don't have the ease of access that we do to exercise their right to vote," said Senator Stevens. " . . .
