FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Dec. 20 -- Broward County has issued the following news release:
Broward County will receive $8.9 million from the 2008 Omnibus Appropriations Bill recently passed by Congress. Members of Broward County's Congressional Delegation were successful in getting funding for 9 of 12 projects - and additional money for projects that were not part of the original funding requests.
