ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Oct. 18 -- Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell of Alaska issued the following news release:
Corporal Jason A. Karella, 20, a graduate from Alaska Military Youth Academy, was killed last week while supporting marine combat operations in western Afghanistan. Karella, a member of the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, died in a vehicle accident in the Farah province.
