KOREAN-U.S. SECURITY COUNCIL EVENTS ANNOUNCED

WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 -- The U.S. Department of Defense issued the following media advisory:

Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates hosts an honor cordon to welcome Republic of Korea Minister of National Defense Lee Sang-hee to the Pentagon Oct. 17 at 10:30 a.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.

Secretary Gates and Minister of National Defense Lee will conduct a joint press conference Oct. 17 at 1:15 p.m. in the DoD Briefing Studi . . .
