ATHENS, W.Va., June 13 -- Concord University issued the following news release:
As the sun rose over the 18-hole golf course at the Pipestem Resort State Park, 76 golfers gathered around to play the 20th annual Homer Ball Golf Tournament.
The event was used to raise money for scholarships for Concord University. According to Sherry Brogan, organizer, approximately $12,000 was raised at this event.
