LOS ANGELES, Aug. 28 -- The office of the Los Angeles Mayor issued the following news release:
Continuing his fight for Los Angeles' fair share of federal funding, Mayor Villaraigosa today advanced his effort to ensure that every Angeleno is counted in the 2010 Census by appointing veteran community organizer Norma Vega as Executive Director of the Office of the Census 2010.
