RICHMOND, Va., June 2 -- The Virginia State Bar issued the following news release:

A Virginia State Bar search committee is recommending Assistant Bar Counsel Edward L. "Ned" Davis of Richmond to succeed George W. Chabalewski as bar counsel. The recommendation is expected to receive the required approval of the Virginia Attorney General and the Virginia State Bar Council at its next meeting on June 19, 2008, with the appointment to become effective immediately.
