ABERDEEN, Md., Aug. 7 -- Aberdeen Proving Ground released the following issue of APG News:
More than 100 years ago Dr. Robert Koch announced his discovery of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This is the bacteria that cause latent (dormant or sleeping) tuberculosis infections, which can progress to infectious, active TB.

In 2007, TB in the military made national news when a sailor aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan . . .
