PEMBROKE, N.C., June 26 -- The University of North Carolina-Pembroke issued the following press release:
After winning the Miss Talent Award in preliminary competitions, Miss UNCP Jamee Hunt finished first runner-up in the Miss North Carolina Pageant in Raleigh, N.C., on June 21.
Hunt also won the People's Choice Award for Swimwear and a $3,500 scholarship in the weeklong competition.
