MILWAUKEE, Aug. 20 -- The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee issued the following news release:
In most African languages, there is no equivalent for the word "art." But there are embellished accoutrements of everyday life.
That is the way Mark Wentzel prefers to think about the items in his extensive collection of West African art and artifacts. The UWM alumnus and his wife Mary Jo have donated 41 items to the UWM Art Collection, many of them ceremonial ma . . .
