LAS CRUCES, N.M., Aug. 29 -- The New Mexico Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:
The sweetest of the sweet, red ripe watermelons will take center stage on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at the New Mexico Department of Agriculture pavilion at the New Mexico State Fair.
Starting at 2 p.m. this year's expo attendees will be treated to a demonstration of watermelon carving and tasting. A special event showcasing the skills and beauty of waterm . . .
