WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs issued the following press release:
The Department of Justice awarded more than $546 million in Fiscal Year 2007 to assist crime victims through the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) compensation and assistance programs and the Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification (SAVIN) initiative, the Department announced today.
