WASHINGTON, April 22 -- Rep. Howard L. Berman, D-Calif. (28th CD), made the following remarks:
The following are Chairman Berman's remarks as delivered during House debate of H.Con.Res. 322, a resoultion recognizing the 60th anniversary of the founding of the modern Sate of Israel. The resolution passed by a vote of 417-0.
"Mr. Speaker, in the sixty years since the founding of our ally Israel, the United States has had no greater friend in the Middle East . . .
