WEST POINT, N.Y.., Aug. 22 -- The U.S. Military Academy issued the following news release:
West Point will host the 47th annual Buffalo Soldier
Memorial Ceremony at Buffalo Soldier Field on Sunday, Aug. 31, at 12:15 p.m.
The Ceremony will honor the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments of the Buffalo Soldiers.
These black Soldiers have a proud tradition of exemplary service to the nation in the
Indian Wars; Spanish-American War; . . .
