ADELPHI, Md., Aug. 7 -- The University of Maryland's University College issued the following news release:
UMUC announced today that it has purchased the former Hechinger headquarters-most recently occupied by Raytheon Co.-at 1616 McCormick Ave. in Largo, Maryland. The building will be retrofitted to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification as a "green" building.
