RALEIGH, N.C., July 9 -- Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue, D-N.C., issued the following newsletter:
On Tuesday the General Assembly passed the state budget and delivered it to Governor Easley for his signature. That is good news and means the end is in sight for the 2007-2008 legislative biennium.
This year's budget accomplishes a number of good things. It keeps education as a top priority for our state and it does not raise taxes. It is not perfect, however, and Lt. Go . . .
