JUNEAU, Alaska, June 30 -- Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell of Alaska issued the following report:
Construction of a new home for the 176th Alaska Air National Guard Wing is underway after a ground breaking ceremony Monday on Elmendorf Air Force Base. Kulis Air National Guard Base is preparing to close its operations in Anchorage and move to Elmendorf as part of the Department of Defense's Base Realignment and Closure Program.
