PROVIDENCE, R.I., Aug. 15 -- The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management issued the following news release:

The Department of Environmental Management announces that $1.28 million in passive and historic park recreational development grants has been awarded for 15 projects in 13 communities across the state.
