COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Aug. 12 -- Texas A&M University issued the following news release:
Brig. Gen. Michael B. Cates (Class of '79), the chief of the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps and commanding general of the U.S. Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine, was named this year's Distinguished Diplomate by the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine (ACVPM).
Dr. John Herbold, president of the ACVPM, presented the award to Cates . . .
