TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 5 -- Arizona State University issued the following press release:
Confucius was a Chinese thinker and social philosopher whose teachings deeply influenced Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese thought and life. Now, his teachings will extend to Arizona and Arizona State University with the opening of the Confucius Institute, a joint effort between ASU and China's Sichuan University.
