NEWARK, N.J., Aug. 14 -- The office of Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg, D-N.J., issued the following statement:
Today, the United States and Libya announced they signed a comprehensive claims agreement to compensate American victims of Libyan terrorist attacks. This agreement builds upon legislation signed into law by President Bush and championed by U.S. Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) to create a fund for Libya to compensate U.S. victims of Libyan-sponsored terrorism.
