Appalachian Power Makes Year-End Donations to Food Banks Across West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee
CHARLESTON, West Virginia, Dec. 31 -- Appalachian Power issued the following news release:
Year-end contributions from Appalachian Power have pumped $50,000 into food banks across West Virginia, Virginia and Tennessee just at the time of year when they need it most. The donations are going to 16 food banks and feeding centers, helping them get fully stocked for the high-use winter season.

Attorney General Herbert H. Slatery III applauds the passage of new federal legislation known as the Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence Act (TRACED).

Tenn. Wildlife Resources Agency: Deer Carcass Incinerator to Be Constructed in Fayette County
NASHVILLE, Tennessee, Jan. 4 -- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency issued the following news:
An incinerator to address deer carcass disposal in Unit CWD will be constructed in Fayette County. The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission (TFWC) approved a $1 million budget expansion for the project at its December meeting. The incinerator will be constructed at the Fayette County Landfill and will be maintained and operated by Fayette County.

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency: Reward Offered for Elk Illegally Killed on the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area
CARYVILLE, Tennessee, Dec. 30 -- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency issued the following news:
A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of the person or persons responsible for illegally shooting and killing an elk on the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area last week.
