Interior Department Approves Ohio Coal Permit Information Change
WASHINGTON, Nov. 18 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement is approving an amendment to Ohio's program for regulating surface coal mining.
This final rule revises the state's rules by eliminating the requirement that a coal mining permit application must include either the employment identification number or the last four digits of a resident agent's Social Security number (SSN).
