Arkansas Advocates for Children & Families Urge EAC to Reject Citizenship Proof Requirement for Voter Registration
WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 -- Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families (AACF), Little Rock, Arkansas, has submitted a public comment letter to the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) opposing a petition that seeks to amend federal voting regulations by requiring documentary proof of United States citizenship for voter registration. The petition was initiated by the America First Legal Foundation and aims to change 11 C.F.R. Sec. 9428.4 along with the federal voter registration form.
