Agricultural Marketing Service Proposes Higher Assessment for Florida Citrus Growers
WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service is proposing a rule to increase the assessment rate for oranges, grapefruit, tangerines and pummelos grown in Florida. The proposed change would raise the rate from $0.02 to $0.025 per 0.8-bushel carton or equivalent for the 2024-2025 and subsequent fiscal periods.
